Be a CarriageWorks Reviewer!
Do you love waxing lyrical about all things artistic? Have an opinion about every costume, prop, facial expression and underlying subtext? Is your favourite type of theatre the weird, wonderful, surprising, quirky, eccentric kind? If so, we have just the gig for you…
We’re calling for budding & enthusiastic arts writers to enter to win the chance to be our ‘Official Reviewer of The Sydney Fringe at CarriageWorks’ (ORoTSFaC for short).
The chosen reviewer will get:
As one of the main venues for The Sydney Fringe, we are hosting 9 shows over the 3 week festival, so we have plenty of Fringe goodness to see and review. The shows you’ll review are:a tiny chorus; Sam Simmons: Fail; The Alchemical Cabaret; Blind, As You See It; Clammy Glamour From The Curio-Cabinet; The Famous Maurice Flea Circus; Food For Thought; and Molly A Tale of Blood & Guts and Giants & Weddings.
After each show, you’ll submit a review of up to 500 words, which will be published on the CarriageWorks blog (www.carriageworks.tumblr.com) where it will be much admired by thousands of CarriageWorks and Fringe fans.
For your chance to be our ORoTSFaC, tell us when you last encountered a ‘Black Sheep’. Your answer can be fact or fiction. Be creative and make it short and snappy - no longer than 100 words. Email your answer to marketing@carriageworks.com.au with ‘Black Sheep’ in the subject heading.
Entries close Tuesday 7 September, only successful applicants will be contacted.
We’re pretty sure you guys are all talented and hilarious writers, so we will publish a selection of the best of the entries too, as well as the reviews by the ORoTSFaC – keep an eye on our blog.
Happy writing!
